Echo Park Murals & Public Art – Ideas and Issues

+ SoCalGas Advanced Meters Project presentation

We have a special town hall this month focusing on public art and murals in Echo Park. Often described as being a colorful representation of the many cultures of a diverse community, public art is reflective of a community and affect how residents and visitors view and experience that community.

Our special guests will discuss this narrative from a personal point of view as well as help explain some general issues revolving public art, including conservation efforts, new mural installations and any recent or future legal changes that may affect the status of existing and future public art.

We will also be welcoming special guest Mimi Goh, a representative from Southern California Gas Company, who will present on the SoCalGas Advanced Meter Project and Communications Infrastructure they are planning on building in Echo Park.

We have invited representatives from Council Districts 1 and 13, Senior Lead Officers from Northeast and Rampart LAPD Divisions, Select Patrol, and others to discuss your concerns and provide you with helpful information.

All are welcome! Bring yourself, your neighbors, your input, and join us at Barlow Hospital, located at 2000 Stadium Way, in Williams Hall.
